FAQs About Therapy & Coaching With Nadja Geipert

Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

Book a complimentary 15-minute consultation with me. This is a no-pressure conversation where we can discuss what’s on your mind and see if we’re a good fit. It’s your chance to ask questions, decide if my approach feels right for you and to figure out if coaching or therapy is the better option.
Our first session is a chance for us to dive into the details of what led you to seek support at this time so some of it will be about background. But, we will also cover what is going on with you right at the time of the session.

That’s the question everyone worries about, isn’t it? We all want to be “fixed” and ready to move on.

The totally unsatisfying answer is: it takes as long as it takes.

But a more meaningful question is, “When will I start to see a benefit?” The goal isn’t to reach a finish line. It’s to ensure you feel measurable progress and gain value after every single meeting. The focus is on creating a process that consistently delivers clarity, insight, and practical tools, so you feel a return on your investment from day one.

Logistics and Professional Information

I offer both in-person and virtual sessions. My office is located in Roseville, California. For virtual sessions, I am only able to provide therapy to clients who are located in California due to my state license. However, I do provide all coaching services nationwide.
I offer on-site intensives on a very limited basis. These are tailored, immersive experiences for founders and executives who want to focus intensely on their goals or address a particular crisis. Please call me directly to discuss scheduling options and fees for this service.
I require a 24-hour business day notice for any cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee.

About The Work

Honestly, if you’re asking yourself those questions, you probably are! In High Achievers, burnout, depression or anxiety usually don’t look like crying in the fetal position. It more often looks like over-functioning, snapping at baristas, or binge-scrolling LinkedIn at midnight questioning one’s existence. Sometimes it’s just that quietly desperate thought: “It’s too much. It’s just too much.”

This isn’t the kind of therapy where we just talk about your week. And no — being high-functioning doesn’t mean you’re fine. Most of my clients are outwardly successful and inwardly shut down. They’ve done the coaching, the retreats, the mindset hacks — and still feel like something’s missing.

This work goes deeper. We’re not here to optimize your performance. We’re here to meet the part of you that had to armor up to perform in the first place. Expect honesty, depth, and real relief.

Therapy raises consciousness — not as a vague idea, but as a lived experience. High achievers crave control and freedom of choice — and their drive has taken them far. But over time, brute force and relentless self-management become unsustainable-and the very traits that once fueled success can subtly narrow your capacity to connect, feel, and choose freely from within.

Therapy brings relief but most importantly, true freedom of choice.

That’s a great question, and it’s one I hear a lot.

Depending on your perspective, the difference is subtle or not subtle at all. While a business coach often focuses solely on strategy, goals, and optimizing performance, my work goes deeper. We get to the emotional core of what’s holding you back, all while weaving strategies into the process.

About Your Situation

Yes. Co-founder conflict frequently contributes to the failure of companies and it is a real shame. I can help the two of you work through your conflict and reconnect with what made you start a company together in the first place. To learn more click here (page to co-founder coaching)
Yes. The hypocrisy, misogyny and the way women’s success and share at the table continues to be undermined in subtle and sometimes not so subtle ways really pisses me off. So a thousand times yes! Helping female founders, creatives and entrepreneurs get more of the credit, the money, success and confidence is something that propels me out of bed in the morning because, you know, we are all totally over it. Yes, absolutely. The struggles of high-achievers—from managing pressure to battling burnout and imposter syndrome—are universal, regardless of your title. I’m here to help you tackle your struggles, whether you’re a founder, executive, or creative. To learn more about my work with creatives, please click here.

About The Process

In a nutshell, coaching targets specific dilemmas (should I shut down my company or pivot? Should I leave my job or fight for a promotion? How do I get a promotion?) and usually takes a shorter time period. It will be clear when exactly you have reached your goal and once you have done so, our work ends. Occasionally, clients choose to continue with me for therapy after they have sorted their particular gridlock.

Therapy on the other hand is about repairing and rewiring deeper relational patterns that were formed early in life.

We will discuss what is most suitable for you during our consultation.

No. It’s important to be clear about what you are seeking and more importantly, what you need. For example, I have the skillset to coach you through any phobia in a fairly short amount of time. I can help you change that behavior, but in truth, the underlying issues would still be there because we never addressed what those fears are really about. However, I will say that practical issues will need to be addressed in therapy as they are the road that leads to your unconsciousness. Often, you have to be really shallow in order to be able to go deep.
